FILM PRODUCTION

Pre-production and planning

For us, the key to a successful production is in the planning. We work closely with our clients from the outset to ensure we fully understand the brief, budget, aims and objectives before we start pre-production. Our clients appreciate our attention to detail and the continuity of service we offer. They trust our team to guide and support them throughout the production.

Having listened to what our clients need, we agree on an approach and style before developing ideas further.

From planning and delivering a virtual conference, to developing and producing powerful content for a fundraising campaign we can help.

“Our trust in their professionalism and creativity was wonderfully rewarded with a great video.”

Filming on location or in a studio

Whatever the setting, it’s important to us that everyone involved has a positive and memorable filming experience. For some, telling their story can be emotional yet cathartic; for others it can be an exciting opportunity to meet and talk to others in similar situations.

Location filming allows us to get to the heart of a story, where we meet people in a real-life situation to deliver their message. This may be at their home, in a Hospice, or in the Highlands. This style of filming provides realism and a window into the lives of the people we’re filming.

Our sensitive approach to often difficult situations is so important to us and we work hard to make everyone feel at ease and fully involved in what’s happening. This gives them confidence to deliver their message, their way.

Studio shoots are ideal set ups for filming interviews, stylistic shots, group shots and presentations. We maintain good relationships with a network of studios around the UK. These include professional kitchen studios and smaller commercial studios which can provide a high-end, consistent look to a production. They can be a cost-effective option for multiple interviews in one location.

“They captured the lives of patients and families so well that we received donations and more views than ever before. Red Goat really took the time to understand the unique needs of our patients and families, adults and children, for the filming process and this shone through in the footage.”

Sensitive Filmmaking and storytelling

People are at the heart of everything we do.

We feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to work with so many inspirational people who open up to us about their lives. It’s our responsibility to make sure we do right by them and present their story in a compassionate and respectful way. This is something we remain incredibly proud of.

Our team takes the time to talk and listen to our contributors during pre-production to understand their story and get to know them; and of equal importance, they get to know and trust us. In our experience this leads to a more positive filming experience.

“It was an amazing experience with Red Goat; so compassionate, patient and understanding.”

Drone filming and specialist filming

We use a range of specialist equipment, kit and camera operators for productions that may require this approach.

Drone filming is a striking way to generate incredible shots from above which offer a different perspective and look to a production. We work with fully qualified and accredited drone operators using the latest technology to film creatively in different locations, including more challenging environments, such as cities and remote locations.

For shoots that require smaller or specialised cameras, such as cooking demonstrations or construction filming, we can provide time-lapse, top-down or motion filming equipment and crew. Whatever you need, we can provide tailor made solutions to suit any production.

“Always friendly, positive, supportive and of course brilliantly creative.”
